Bruins Recall Derek Forbort from LTIR, Announce First-Round Playoff Schedule
Bruins Bolster Defense with Forbort's Return
The Boston Bruins have recalled defenseman Derek Forbort from a long-term injured reserve (LTIR) conditioning loan with the Providence Bruins. Forbort has been sidelined since February 11 with an upper-body injury.
Forbort's return adds depth and experience to the Bruins' blue line. He is a physical presence and a strong shot-blocker. His addition to the roster will provide the Bruins with more options on the back end as they prepare for the playoffs.
